Oiran – this is my most favorite song. Mayu displayed her excellent voice! She have an amazing husky voice which fits well on the song. Her growls is also one of a kind. It’s not the typical growls that I’ve heard and I am enjoying it. The riffs displayed by Hazuki and Saki showed the heaviness all out. It has more mix with Heavy and thrash metal style which brings in the pure metal sound. The pounding the drum plays by Muratamu gives an excitement sound and you cannot stop to bang your head. No doubt that this song becomes viral in youtube since you will these gals showed their talents and you will feel the energy when they’re performing. In fact when I am watching their video, Its satisfying to watch. You will see the greatness of the band.

Monsters- this song is tied with Life, the song offers a catchy intro sound. I love the electronic delivered on the intro. It gives a different vibe and engage you to bang your head. Mayu’s voice is satisfying she’s like the female version of Klaus Meine of Scorpions. The song has a mix of 1980s metal and 2010s metal . I am giving praise to the guitarists since they formulate a good sound on this song that makes a metalhead happy to listen this song.

Life- If the two songs displayed heaviness, this song brings lighter sound. It shows more on pop balled rock sound. Personally I like how they did it. You will see the versatility of the band. Mayu’s singing in, shows her powerful voice You will love to sing along with her despite the lyrics in Japanese.

VERDICT

I am satisfied listening this EP! All of the girls displayed their talents all out. The songs displayed on this album shows influence on Heavy, Thrash metal and metalcore. They mix this sound in this album and built a catchy sound. You will see that they also combine the influence of 80s metal and 2010s metal. It’s like a hybrid sound that would cater for present generation metal fans.

Mayu is the star in the album. She displayed her versatility and her voice ranging sheer brutality to power ballad. As I mentioned earlier, her husky voice has similarities with Klaus Meine of Scorpions and I am giving praise on it. I am impressed on her talent and she should give recognition. Hazuki and Saki displayed the aggressiveness in their guitar plays. I know hazuki a lot since I am fan of Disqualia and she’s talented on her guitar plays. Right now, she improved her guitar plays and giving praise on that. Meanwhile, Saki is excellent, she is also talented and knowing she came from Destrose and we know that Destrose is the breeding ground of talented artists. Haraguchi-san and Murata played on their bass and drum plays. They add lively sound on their bass and drum plays on their song. It adds as well heaviness on each song.

Overall I could see the potential of this band. Personally this band would help me to ease the sadness that I felt when Lovebites went on hiatus. With their talents and skill I could see this band would be the new generation of the All female Japanese bands would be in the stardom.

I could suggest this band for the fans of Destrose, Disqualia, Lovebites, Mary’s blood and any Japanese all female metal bands.
