MergingMoon - Gravity of Spadille single review

Gravity of Spadille is a single from Mergingmoon released in 2018 under OYSTER BROTHERS RECORDS. The song is made to a pure extreme metal music, with their completion of originality remained, which the band had to choose the lowest down tuning ever to drop G, for doing so. Vocalist "U" performed this song after she departed in 2013. Drums played by Dirk Verbeuren,(ex-drummer of SOILWORK, previous drummer of MEGADETH)

Yu is back with a vengeance! We know that she left in band back in 2013. She was replaced by Saba who work with the band in 2015 on their EP eN. When Saba left in 2015, Yu returned in the band but takes some time to make a new material.

On the song, I love how she transition from the growls to clean vocals, she never get old on her style from the kamikakushi era. It is aggressive and powerful at the same time. Her growl execution is perfect and she leveled up from her previous work. Tatsuya’s vocals blends well with Yu and they have a perfect combo, just like in a coffee that there strong and sweet taste, which growling Yu is the strong taste while, clean vocals of Yu and tatsuya is like a sugar and creamer. The synths brings out the electronic madness on the song. It gives a unique sound that you love to listen. Also the drum plays works very well and adding the heaviness on the song.

When you listen the first part of the song, you will get surprised by Yu’s growl which gives you pump up on the song. When I first time heard it I was surprised and get excited since I missed Yu’s monstrous growl. The song is good for a moshpits and wall of death, every metalheads will surely love it.

Overall the song is good to listen. Mergingmoon is still consistent on delivering good music. I could say Yu is the ace player. She gives the unique sound on the band.
