Mergingmoon Activate the hell Single review

Japanese metal band, mergingmoon, released their new single, Activate the hell last November 13 2021, under Orochi records. This their new material after the release of Gravity of Spadille back in 2018.

The song has a reminiscence of their 2013 song, Greyen. On the intro It gives a dark ambiance just like walking in a cemetery at night. It signals you are entering the hell and when Yu delivered “Together we shall activate the hell”. It brings out the heaviness from Growls, guitar and drum plays. It’s like you fell in a trap that leads into hell. The sound is ear satisfying it punches your ear so much. This song is a good for a wall of death especially on the intro part. On the mid part they delivered solid guitar riffs and it’s good. On the chorus parts, Tatsuya did well on singing. His voice pacifies Yu’s growls. It’s soothing and calming. I noticed as well that he have more singing parts comparing on their previous records. Meanwhile, Yu’s growl has a lower pitch, unlike in Greyen she have screams. I don’t know if this is part of her maturity if her voice changed.

Overall the song is good and the band is still delivered a good music. I hope they keep continuing making new records.
