JAPANESE HARD-ROCK icons BAND-MAID dropped new single entitled SENSE on Oct 27, The song sense was release for the anime opening, Platinum End. The band has pre-released a “TV Size Ver.” (90-second version) of the song Sense through digital platforms. It was made available on September 5. The single contained 3 tracks, entitled, SENSE, Hibana and Corallium.

Corallium

- This is my favorite song in the Single. The song is lighter comparing on the other tracks. It has more with a pop rock vibe that jive me into the music. Saiki’s voice is refreshing, when I heard the intro of the song, I started to fall in love in the song. She displayed her talent very well. The backup voice of Miku is also good they complement on their voices and it creates a good vibe on the song.

SENSE

- The song has a reminiscence of WARNING, on the intro; it has an operatic like intro that will bring suspense to the listeners. When the guitar and drum plays hit in its like an explosion, the heaviness is all out. I like Kanami’s guitar plays; the hardrock sound is good and brings in the classic hard rock vibe. I give applause on her guitar solos, she give a killer riff. Saiki’s vocals still proved the best. Her voice is like an angel descends from heaven and brings peace to the listeners.

Hibana

- I like the riffs displayed on the song, it is heavy and aggressive at the same time. Kanami did a job well done on the song. You would surely bang your head when listen it. Accompanied with the relentless drum chugging of Akane and lively bass plays of Misa it gives a satisfying sound.

Verdict

BAND MAID nailed it once again. They are constant on delivering good music and their music keeps improving through the years. I could say that they matured on their music. They crafted their talent very well and know how to execute it. My impression on this single it has more with experimental comparing on their previous track and it good since the songs that offered in this single are not blunt. It is lively and amazing. The band put and effort, love and quality in this material. This single would fill the gap the fans desire for their new album and every Fan would not disappoint after listen this single.
