Arch Enemy Deceiver Deceiver single review

Arch Enemy dropped new single entitled “Deceiver Deceiver” last week and this is their new single after their 2017 studio album Will to power.

One thing that I praised on the song is the relentless drum play of Daniel, the sound that he played on the song is like a machine gun firing at your ears. He is one of asset of ARCH ENEMY and his style never gets old. The heaviness is all out, the technicalities and the aggression is there. It is satisfying to listen his drum plays

On the guitar plays, the axe combo of Michael and Jeff were just right. The aggressiveness is there. Especially on the guitar solo part, it was all good. But one thing lacking is the catchy melodic sound that I am looking. On their previous album, I always love the catchy melodic sound that offered by the band. The melodic sound that they offer balances the heaviness of each track and defines for me the melodic death metal sound. My impression on this song has more with heaviness and fierceness and toned down the melodic vibe.

Overall the song is just right and you will feel good after listening it. But for me it is less powerful comparing on their previous tracks. Still, looking forward on their new album, I am confident that they will still create powerful and great track that every fans would surely loved.
